NN-PID Based Control of MIMO Systems

چکیده

Due to simple functioning of PID controllers it is widely used in control systems. But tuning the parameters of controller is still a formidable challenge. Also, once the parameters are well tuned satisfactory performance cannot be guaranteed due to process changes and aging effect, so a regular tuning is needed which takes considerable time and may not be practically effective. Most of the control systems are nonlinear coupled MIMO in nature. Due to non-linearities and coupling effects among the ventional PID controllers. Universal function approximation capabilites, learning and generalization properties makes NN a powerful controlling tool for such systems [1]. One may use NN in two ways. NN can be used either to adjust the parameters of a conventional PID controller [2], [ 3] or act as a direct PID controller that implies emulating the ideas of an expert control
